1966 Jaguar XKE 4.2 Coupe NOT MATCHING MOTOR OR TRANSMISSION E TYPE

Here we have 1966 Jaguar 4.2 XKE Coupe. This is a pretty rough car, but restore-able.

The Body has rust. The floors are gone. The trunk or boot area is rough but may be repairable for you die hard enthusiast. Door sills/ rockers are rusty. Rear quarter window areas have rust. The bonnet has been modified, but looks worse than it is. They filled the cracks with what we think is lead so it probably can be fixed with some heat. The hinges are on the bonnet, but are not attached to the car. Doors are ok as far as the metal goes, but the window glass is stuck down.

The car rolls and the steering is attached.

The motor is a 7E54254-9 block with a head that has the numbers shaved off but is a 9 to 1 compression as you can see the 9 still on the head. There appears to be some kind of crack on the side of the block. Head looks decent. Block may be repairable. We do have a replacement block that is close to 7E5000-9 that can be included for an additional $1000.

The tach and water gauges are incorrect the other gauges appear to be correct. It is missing the oil gauge.

Transmission is missing the gears.

Rear end differential is correct 46/13 BP1.

I did not locate the body tags but if this is important to the sale I can find them.

Glass appears to be free of cracks and is triplex except for the windshield.

The original picture frame is off of the car and will be included in the sale, but has been cut for a v-8 conversion. The frame rails on the car are not cut nor is the picture frame.

Please feel free to contact us with any and all questions.
