1980 Black MG MGB Limited Edition Overdrive Original Driver with Hardtop

Up for sale and ready to drive is this 1980 Limited Edition MGB with overdrive.

The car is a good driver quality. The body is straight, free from rust and only very small dents are present. The black paint and decals could be refreshed. The hardtop from Custom Hardtops is dent free and the glass is clear. The rubber bumpers present well and only have the lightest marks. Chrome and aluminum shines nicely. Original limited-edition wheels bear Michelin X Metric 185/70 R14 tires.

The seats are in presentable condition, but the drivers seat has a tear about 2 inches long. The dash is quite nice and does not have cracks.

The car functions well. All the lights work including the dash. The radio is not operating. Gauges work with 55218 on the odometer. She starts up, runs, and drives. There is a new clutch installed, it shifts as it should, and the overdrive works when engaged. Interior fan turns on. Windows go up and down and the doors shut with authority.

A downside is that the windshield is cracked and will need to be replaced. Some interior pieces are missing. A lot of new parts have been installed including heater core hoses, the fuel filter, gulp valve, egr, air filter, valve cover/side cover gaskets, vacuum hoses, thermostat, water-pump, belts, radiator hoses oil and oil filter. Other work performed includes a rebuilt carb, cleaned air pump, cleaned, and painted engine bay parts and a rebuilt heater control valve. This leaves the engine bay presenting nicely.
